F17 Floor 1 Group Exhibition
In the art world, a trend has been emerging towards personal, intimate, small-scale paintings.
As we leave behind this gloomy time this series of lockdowns made us face, we cannot help but notice that we have become closer with the people we live with, and since we have all been contained in our spaces we find ourselves converging paths with artists, just as they have to express themselves within the constraints of our limits in physical space
The most beautiful and captivating narratives can be depicted even on the smallest surfaces. With space not being a concern; here we have 6 artists from different walks of life with their stories portrayed on a small scale.
F17 Floor 1 exhibition will feature a variety of works. Their works are as varied in themes as they are in styles
The exhibition starts out with surrealism and then transitions to a group of abstract works, beginning with some sculptures by Vidya Dangle, a sculptor and a performing musician who can beautifully express that music through her sculptures in ceramic, Her small scale works are mesmerizing
Starting with the surrealist works by Aditiya Singh and Kartikay Sharma. The two very contrasting artists, yet placing themselves on these small canvases through surrealism so well. Perfect depiction of the contrast of distant realities to activate the unconscious mind through the imagery. Ink, watercolor, and graphite on paper have a mysterious, meditative quality that draws the viewer into their unique way of seeing.
Following Into the pursuit of growth by Debangshu Moulik, a young artist whose language of communication has always been the visual arts not wanting words to block the possibilities of imagination goes on; to put out his thoughts through different mediums along with his small scale works venturing out in sculptures in 3D print – Speaking tongues.
Introducing our next artists Dev Mehta and Narendra Dengle ; both abstract artists yet poles apart. Both using colors, gestures, and symbols to represent their idea to the viewers we find a curious connection between the artworks and the two artists.
The gallery is a very intimate space providing a very personalised art-viewing experience. This small-scale exhibition – F17 Floor 1 is a perfect start for Kdot Art Gallery in the year 2021. Small works feel more close to heart and more personal; creating an attachment with the artwork and an individual. A remarkable exhibition of artworks that depicted intimate fairy tales.
